With over 80 year’s combined industry experience, we found that what people really value is financial advice that is easy to understand, grounded in common sense and offers consistent and first class support, guidance and assistance throughout.
We feel it is not only important for financial advisers to be knowledgeable and experienced but it is also crucial that we are approachable, friendly and happy to provide help whenever it is required. Strong working relationships with clients over many years and the trust that is built over time is the cornerstone of a successful and enduring financial strategy.
We formed YorWealth with these core principles underpinning everything that we do. We are aware of how daunting planning for your future can be and will be there to hold your hand and guide you on every step of the way.
Simon was sympathetic with my situation and understood the level of help I required . He was always accessible, willing and able to take time to explain what I had any difficulty in understanding, particularly my lack of IT proficiency.
Simon became my adviser due to the previous one retiring. I’ve always found financial advice complicated and confusing but since I have been with Simon he has explained the jargon to me in a manner that has given me a better understanding and also I can ask Simon questions and not feel intimidated. His answers are explained in a non judgemental way. I have been kept informed of any ongoing matters which is refreshing and reassuring that Simon is working for my various accounts.
Oliver visited me all the way from York and made me feel I was a special client. He explained everything clearly, took note of what I required, and I felt I could trust him. As far as I am concerned there’s nothing more he can do except keep up the good work – a very personal, caring and friendly service.
I received a substantial amount of money from a claim. Oliver guided and advised me before I even received the money so I knew exactly where I would be investing on the day I received the pay out. Ollie has no need for improvement, he is an excellent advisor and I highly recommend him to my friends and family.
Katie was extremely helpful and had a wonderful personable approach that made one feel at ease. She met with me on a number of occasions to explore the options available. She was careful and considered. She took time to understand my situation and needs, offering relevant options.
Katie was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She is very professional and explains thing very well.
When a client first comes to me for an exploratory meeting, there could be any number of reasons for doing so. They may be concerned about their current financial arrangements, worried about their retirement or thinking they may be paying too much tax (a common complaint!)
The best part of my job is working with my clients to build a financial plan to mitigate against these worries and problems so they can look forward to the more prosperous future they are reaching for.
With over 12 years’ experience in financial services and a number of published articles and personal achievements, I am well positioned to be able to provide this for my clients and have a keen interest in doing so.
Outside of work, you will likely find me dragging my wife and daughter round a record shop or playing football and cricket badly but enthusiastically.
I have been providing planning advice since 2003 and was thrilled to be a finalist for Financial Adviser of the Year – North East in 2019 at the Women in Financial Advice Awards.
I believe that the foundation to a successful long term relationship between adviser and client is trust. A good adviser truly understands your needs and aspirations, as well as your family’s goals. When our client/adviser relationship is as open and honest as possible, it really helps me to tailor your personalised financial plans.
In the last 18 months I have been honoured to take part in a schools outreach program run by the Personal Finance Society initiative, to try and help our next generation understand more about their own personal finances.
With young children myself, I feel it is important to educate the future of tomorrow about their own finances, to help equip them for their journey ahead.
With over 10 years of experience in the industry, I see my role as helping clients to achieve their goals and ambitions by providing tailored financial planning and advice. One of the key elements of this process is to simplify some of the jargon that exists in financial planning and provide clients with clear and straightforward conversations throughout the entire journey.
Ultimately, I would like clients to have a bespoke financial plan that we can adapt as needs and aspirations change – hopefully giving them one less thing to worry about!
I feel that Financial Advice is a very personal relationship, as I am entrusted with looking after clients hard earned money. As a family orientated person, I understand the importance of this – with my wife, Alanna, my son Lucas and the family Golden Retriever, Dylan. We enjoy a lot of family days out and all love to explore through the Yorkshire Dales.
I see a lot cross over between family life and the financial advice I give, as I strive to meet people’s family and personal aspirations whilst providing simple and achievable goals.
I have over 40 years experience in Financial Services working for Aviva, supporting Financial Advisers in growing their businesses and clients. It was a big deal leaving after such a long career, but I wanted a fresh challenge
Having worked with lots of Advisers I have seen a great opportunity with YorWealth to join a forward thinking firm with a client focussed approach.
My role will be to support the Financial Advisers in ongoing client engagement, acquiring new clients relationships , working with our third party Professional Connections and developing our Marketing plans.
I just hope they have a dog friendly office as I need to take my Retriever -Norman with me.
