When a client first comes to me for an exploratory meeting, there could be many reasons for doing so. They may be concerned about their current financial arrangements, or worried about their retirement. Many think they may be paying too much tax.

The best part of my job is working with my clients to build a financial plan. Together, we mitigate against these worries and problems. I help my clients look forward to the more prosperous future they are reaching for.

I have over 12 years’ experience in financial services as well as a number of published articles and personal achievements. So, I am well positioned to be able to provide this for my clients and have a keen interest in doing so.

Outside of work, you will likely find me dragging my wife and daughter round a record shop or playing football and cricket badly but enthusiastically.

I have been providing planning advice since 2003. In 2019, I was thrilled to be a finalist for Financial Adviser of the Year – North East at the Women in Financial Advice Awards.

I believe that the foundation to a successful long term relationship between adviser and client is trust. A good financial adviser truly understands your needs and aspirations, as well as your family’s goals. It’s important our client/adviser relationship is as open and honest as possible. This really helps me to tailor your personalised financial plans.

In the last 18 months, I have taken part in a school outreach program run by the Personal Finance Society initiative. We are trying to help our next generation understand more about their own personal finances.

With young children myself, I feel it is important to educate the future of tomorrow about their own finances. Doing so will help equip them for their journey ahead.

I see my role as helping clients to achieve their goals and ambitions by providing tailored financial planning and advice. One of the key elements of this process is to simplify some of the jargon that exists in financial planning and provide clients with clear and straightforward conversations throughout the entire journey. I have over 12 years’ experience doing just that for all my clients.

Ultimately, I would like clients to have a bespoke financial plan that we can adapt as needs and aspirations change. This hopefully gives them one less thing to worry about!

Financial advice is a very personal relationship. I am entrusted with looking after client’s hard-earned money. As a family orientated person, I understand the importance of this – with my wife, Alanna, my son Lucas and the family Golden Retriever, Dylan. We enjoy a lot of family days out and all love to explore through the Yorkshire Dales.

I see a lot cross over between family life and the financial advice I give. I strive to meet people’s family and personal aspirations whilst providing simple and achievable goals.

I have over 40 years’ experience in financial services working for Aviva, supporting financial advisers in growing their businesses and clients.

Working with YorWealth has been a breath of fresh air. I really appreciate being part of such forward thinking, independent firm with a client focussed approach.

Unfortunately, it’s not always the case that clients are front and centre for financial advisers. It’s great to know that this is fundamental to YorWealth.

My role is to support our financial planners with ongoing client engagement and acquire new client relationships. I also work with our third-party professional connections, and develop our marketing plans.
